LETS Sidewinder™ Lateral Inspection System
The Aries LETS Sidewinder Lateral Inspection System is a versatile and powerful robotic sewer inspection solution designed to inspect mainlines up to 1,200 feet and laterals up to 200 feet from a single deployment.

LETS 6.0
The LETS 6.0 lateral inspection system is versatile and powerful, setting up quickly to navigate a range of pipe contours in mainlines 6″ or larger. The tractor is equipped with a camera to observe mainline conditions and monitor the lateral camera launch.

Pipe Diameter Range
Aries mainline crawlers cover a wide range of pipe diameters, from small municipal laterals to large interceptors. Systems like the Pathfinder Series, Badger Series, and Voyager HD Transporter work in pipes from 6 inches up to more than 120 inches, with adjustable wheel sets and a modular platform for changing field conditions.
Waterproofing and Corrosion Resistance
Aries mainline and lateral systems meet IP68 waterproofing standards and use internal nitrogen pressurization to keep water out. Anodized aluminum, stainless steel components, and sealed electronics resist corrosion, H2S gas, and the abrasive debris common in sanitary and stormwater pipelines.
Vehicle-Mounted and Portable Configurations
Aries systems come in truck-mounted, trailer-based, and portable configurations. Vans, trailers, and box trucks can be fitted with climate-controlled interiors and generator or inverter power. Portable systems run 6 to 8 hours on battery, with hot-swappable packs available for longer days
HD Imaging and Camera Control
The WiperCam HD and other Aries camera heads offer 1080p resolution, optical zoom, and motorized 360° pan and 270° tilt, so crews can inspect cracks, infiltration, offset joints, and other structural defects clearly. Self-cleaning lenses, high-output LEDs, and field-replaceable wipers keep the picture clear in wet or debris-heavy pipe.
Data Capture and PACP-Compliant Reporting
Aries systems are PACP-compatible, so engineers and inspectors can code defects to NASSCO standards. Onboard modules record real-time video, HD still images, voice notes, and metadata, with export options over USB, SD card, or wireless transfer.

Motorized reels carry up to 1,200 feet of inspection cable for remote or deep infrastructure. Brake drag control, footage counters, and ergonomic crane arms protect the cable and speed up deployment.

Drive Systems
The Pathfinder and other crawler units use 4WD or 6WD drivetrains to hold traction across offsets, grade changes, and silt-heavy lines, with quick-change wheel assemblies for fast adjustments in the field.

How to choose
The right Aries system depends on the pipe you inspect and the reports you need to produce, not on brand or price alone. Five things to weigh:
Pipe diameter range. Match the crawler and wheel set to the smallest and largest pipes you actually inspect, from 6-inch laterals to 120-inch interceptors.
Reach and cable length. Longer runs call for a bigger reel and a stronger transporter to pull cable that distance.
Camera and imaging needs. Pan-tilt-zoom control, self-cleaning lenses, and HD resolution matter most in pipe with heavy debris or structural defects to document.
Reporting and compliance. If your reports need to meet PACP, LACP, or MACP coding standards, confirm the system captures that data natively.
Deployment and mobility. Truck-mounted, trailer-based, and portable setups each fit a different crew size and job type.
