There's no job too big or small. Locator Sonde equipment can help you tackle them all. Locator Sonde equipment can be screwed onto a duct rodder for easy underground utility locating, even with non-conductive utilities. Locator Sonde equipment is available from a 0.25 inch diameter up to our largest sonde, at 2.51 inches.
Locator Sonde Spring Coupling fits between the end of a Flexrod and the sonde to ease the sonde around bends or reduce the shock to the sonde when hitting the wall of a pipe. The spring coupling has an M10 male thread and an M10 female thread.
Use these Locator Sondes with Radiodetection underground utility locators and Jameson duct rodders to pinpoint sonde locations and depths. A locatable conduit rodder is the best underground utility locating tool for locating the entire rod length.

BendiSonde
This 3 section Sonde measures at 18.8" x 0.9". Locatable to 20' with a 512 Hz frequencies. 1 battery.
S13 Super Small Sonde
Measuring 0.5" x 2.7" with a plain end cap. Locatable to 8.2'. Supplied as a kit to include Sonde, 2 batteries and a case.
Super Sonde
This is a self-contained, battery-operated Sonde, measuring 2.51" x 12.51". It can be connected to a Flexrod for locating pipes and ducting etc. It transmits on 33kHz and can be normally located to a maximum depth of 49.2'.
S6 Micro Sonde
Measuring 0.25" x 3.5". Locatable to 6.5'. Supplied as a kit to include Sonde, flexible adaptor, 2 batteries, and a case.
S18 Sonde 33kHz
This is a self-contained, battery-operated sonde, measuring 0.70" x 3.22" (18mm x 82mm). It can be connected to a Flexrod for locating pipes and ducting etc.
S9 Minisonde
Measuring 0.35" x 5.4". Locatable to 13'. Supplied as a kit to include Sonde, 2 batteries, and a case.
Standard Sonde
This is a self-contained battery operated Sonde, measuring 1.53" x 4.13". It can be connected to a Flexrod for locating pipes and ducting etc. Available in 3 frequencies with a locate depth of 16'.
Flex Rod
The Flexrod reel holds 197' or 394' fiberglass rod used for tracing pipes and ducting, etc.
Sewer Sonde
This is a self-contained, battery-operated sonde, measuring 2.51" x 6.61". It can be connected to a Flexrod for locating pipes and ducting etc. It transmits on 33kHz and can normally be located to a maximum depth of 26'.
FlexiTrace
The FlexiTrace reel holds 164' or 260’ of small diameter rod. The rod itself can be energised by a Radiodetection transmitter* or Genny and inserted into pipes as small as 0.47".

FM-05 | 512 Hertz Mini Snakable Transmitter
For locating in small lines and p-traps
The smallest snakable transmitter in our 512Hz line. This mini transmitter still has the power to get the job done. The FM-05 will help you locate in small cast iron and nonmetallic lines and with the swivel drophead as the battery cap it will allow you to pass through P-traps and tight elbows. Runs on Alkaline batteries only. Silver Oxide will not work.

HD-40 | 8 KiloHertz DuraSonde Transmitter
The HD-40 has been redesigned to be more durable. This 8 KiloHertz frequency DuraSonde transmitter is used to transmit in nonmetallic lines only. If you are locating around power lines this powerful highly efficient frequency will greatly reduce interference.

LD-9 | 16 Hertz DuraSonde Transmitter
The LD-9 is our smaller of the 16 Hz line of durasonde transmitters. LD-9 has a new more durable design and stronger signal. If you are going to locate in ductile iron or steel pipes this transmitter will do the job. This transmitter will also work great in cast iron where there is a lot of electrical interference.

How to choose
The right Locator Sonde depends on the pipe or duct you're working in and how deep it runs, not on brand or price alone. A few things to weigh:
Pipe or duct size. Match the sonde diameter to the smallest pipe or duct you need to fit through, from 0.25 inches up to 2.51 inches across the lineup.
Locate depth needed. Depth ratings range from about 6.5 feet up to nearly 50 feet across the lineup, so match the sonde to how deep your lines actually run.
Frequency. Available frequencies vary by model. Confirm the sonde's frequency works with the locator you already run.
Reach and rod length. A Flex Rod or FlexiTrace reel extends how far you can push a sonde into a line.
