Which sonde transmitter is right for your work?
Tell us how you work and we will point you to the right transmitter:
Sewer lines and septic systems → Flushable Sonde Transmitters (TP-12)
Tight spaces and small-diameter pipe → Mini-Sonde Transmitters (FM-05, 512Hz)
Everyday pipe and utility locating at standard depths → Mid-Range Sonde Transmitters (FD-20, 512Hz)
Large pipelines and long sewer runs → Long-Range Sonde Transmitters (LD-9, 16Hz)
Connecting a sonde to rods or drain pipes → Sonde Adapters & Connectors
Sonde Transmitter Lineup
Flushable Sonde Transmitters
Locate sewer lines and septic systems fast with flushable transmitters designed to travel through pipes while transmitting a strong, trackable signal. Ideal for non-invasive underground locating, these sondes provide accurate tracing without excavation.
Mini-Sonde Transmitters
Built for tight spaces and small-diameter pipes, mini sondes deliver precise locating in confined environments. Perfect for ducts, conduits, and narrow sewer lines where larger transmitters won’t fit.
Mid-Range Sonde Transmitters
Versatile and reliable, mid-range sondes are designed for everyday pipe and utility locating. Offering balanced frequency performance, they handle standard depths and pipe sizes with consistent accuracy.
Long-Range Sonde Transmitters
Engineered for deep and extended locating, long-range sondes provide maximum signal distance and penetration. Ideal for large pipelines, long sewer runs, and complex underground tracing.
More Sonde Products

How to choose
The right sonde transmitter depends on the pipe you're tracing and how far the signal needs to travel, not on brand or price alone. A few things to weigh:
Pipe size and access. Tight ducts and small-diameter pipe call for a mini sonde. Standard pipe and everyday utility work fit a mid-range sonde.
Frequency and range. Higher-frequency sondes (512Hz) trace well at typical depths. Lower-frequency sondes (16Hz) trade some precision for greater range and penetration on long or deep runs.
Application. Sewer and septic work favors a flushable sonde. Ducts and conduits favor a mini sonde. Large pipelines and long sewer runs favor a long-range sonde.
Compatibility. Confirm the rodder adapter and connector fittings match the equipment you already run before you buy.
